RAS是GTPase原癌基因家族成員，包括3個密切相關(guān)的RAS亞型，HRAS,KRAS and NRAS。
RAS is a family of GTPase proto-oncogenes, comprising three closely related RAS isoforms:HRAS,KRAS and NRAS.
在所有RAS亞型中，KRAS突變頻率最高，KRAS突變常見于胰腺癌，肺癌和結(jié)直腸癌。
KRAS gene is a proto-oncogene that encodes a GTP/GDP-binding protein, that belongs to the GTPase RAS family.
KRAS基因是編碼GTP/GDP結(jié)合蛋白的原癌基因，屬于GTPase RAS家族。KRAS蛋白作為分子開關(guān)，在GDP結(jié)合的無活性狀態(tài)和GTP結(jié)合的活性狀態(tài)之間循環(huán)。KRAS蛋白分別通過與GTP和GDP結(jié)合，在無活性分子和活性形式之間轉(zhuǎn)換。
The KRAS protein acts as molecular switches that cycle between a GDP-bound inactive state and a GTP-bound active state. KRAS protein switches between an inactive to an active form via binding to GTP and GDP respectively。
